Luckily, organizations exist worldwide to find solutions to these problems. The World Wildlife Fund works to educate people and protect wetlands. Charities such as Water.org offer loans to people to help pay for water access. The World Health Organization, which offers education on public health and water quality, says that in 2015, 91 percent of the worldâs population had access to an improved drinking water source, up from 76 percent in 1990.
Even in places where thereâs often plenty of rain, such as India, it can be hard to find enough drinkable water because of a lack of supply and sewage infrastructure.
